Bentley Lower School Library: Home

Welcome to the Hiller Library

Welcome

Welcome to the Bentley School Hiller Library!

Overview

The Hiller Library serves students in grades K-8, their parents, and the faculty. The purpose of the library is two fold: first, it is to develop students as life long readers and secondly, it is to support classroom content material. During the school day, students in grades K-5 meet regularly for library classes, while middle schoolers use the library to read for pleasure, collaborate in small groups, and research school assignments. All students are provided with library skills, information skills, and literature appreciation throughout their time here.

The library program is enhanced by residencies of nationally renowned authors, illustrators, storytellers, and puppeteers. These special event help students understand the creative process and make connections to the works of our visiting celebrities.

Hours:

7:30 AM - 5:30 PM Monday - Friday

Our library provides print books, ebooks, e-zines, research databases, video and audio content, laptops and iPads, magazines to browse, and a maker space where you can imagine, design and make.

Relax in a comfy chair, work quietly in a study area, locate info for an assignment, catch up on reading, explore a new app, or collaborate with classmates on a project.
